Use of the service

Aangan is free for personal, non-commercial use during Phase 1.

You must be 18 or older to register an account.

You're responsible for the content you put in biodatas you own or edit, and for how you share their links.

Honest content

Don't impersonate someone else. Don't upload someone's photo or details without their consent. Don't enter knowingly false information.

We may remove biodatas that appear to misrepresent identity, exploit others, or violate Indian law.

What you keep

You own your biodata content. Aangan stores it on your behalf so you can share it.

You can export everything via /account at any time and delete your account whenever you like.

What we don't do

We don't match-make. We don't recommend or rank people. We don't introduce strangers to each other. Aangan is a tool for you to build and share biodatas — full stop.

We don't verify identities in Phase 1. The trust you place in any biodata is your own decision.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uptime. The service may be paused for maintenance or rebuilds (during which a 'coming soon' page is shown).

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Indian law, aangan is provided 'as is' without warranties. We are not liable for any losses arising from your use of the service, including any disputes between users or their families.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Changes

We'll email anyone with an active account at least 7 days before material changes take effect.
